” Went for lunch. The food was amazing. Had pizza called Reine, with the first bite I went to Paris. The tomato sauce and the dough out of this world. Highly recommended item.”

” Valentine’s Day review!”
“The restaurant had a charming ambience and the interior was gorgeous, complete with a luxurious staircase. However, the tables were uncomfortably close together, and I had to take extra caution trying to squeeze between my table and the neighboring table on my way to and from the lady’s room. It didn’t really feel like we had any privacy from the couple next to us.
Le Petit offered a $80 fixed menu for V-Day that gave you two options for the appetizer, main course, and dessert. For $80 a pop, it seemed overpriced, but I enjoyed the food regardless. I had the foie gras, lamb, and chocolate mousse - all of which tasted pleasant. The meal also came with a small glass of champagne. Maybe it was the tight dress I was wearing (lol) but the food filled me up and then some, though my boyfriend admitted he wasn’t 100% satisfied.
Service is good. Our waiter served us our plates in a timely fashion and we didn’t have to wait too long in between courses. He filled our glasses whenever they were empty and cleared our plates when we were done.
Overall: Pretty restaurant, good food, but pricey. I’d rather have enjoyed a steak dinner at Lawry’s for $50 than the 3-course meal for $80..”

“You will absolutely fall in love with the decor from the very moment you enter. The chandeliers and majestic stairs are breathtaking. Loved the young hip cool DJ upstairs and the live jazz band downstairs. I have been there twice in a 2 week span. The food was really delicious! I loved the apple with fromage plate although very rich and sweet. This works as a delicious appetizer to share with several people. The salmon dish is tasty and comes with a sauce on the side and veggies. It is my new fav spot! This restaurant has all of the right ingredients for a very cool yet sophisticated ambiance in DTLA.”
“Despite some of the reviews, I. Loved. Love. This. Place. The hostesses and waiters/waitresses were charming, the staircase grand, and the entire room made me think of “The Great Gatsby”-for some, it may be a little cheesy and slightly over-the-top, but the space is definitely gorgeous.
Our reservation was for 2, at 7p on a Friday-it was on the quieter side when we arrived but by the time we left around 10:30p, the place was filled with people and the bar on the mezzanine level was lively.
Between two, we tried the Seared Duck Foie Gras, “Magret de Canard”, and Aioli Contemporain Cod.
The Seared Duck Foie Gras came first, as the appetizer, and it was near perfect-the liver was seared well, the flavors great, and the berry compote and toast balanced the dish. For the entrées, I thought the “Magret de Canard” and Aioli Contemporain Cod complemented each other nicely because the duck (the Magret) was more flavorful, whereas the cod was a bit more tamed.
Bonus! One really neat fact about Le Petit Paris: it is in the former El Dorado Hotel space and Charlie Chaplin lived in it-if my memory serves me right, Le Petit did an overhaul of the hotel lobby but kept the staircase-I can’t wait to be back because all through dinner, my mind would wander and wonder what it was like when Charlie stayed here.”
“This place is the best! Every time I come here shyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattt faaaauuuuuuced! These guy and ladies …well they know what they’re doing, you might be audio recorded though..yikes! ; P I’m They have two chefs, but one’s obviously the Ask for Moe is the most experienced bartender in the land, himself and Jarret looking”
“Great find. We are English and enjoy French food. Restaurant has good ambiance only opened about October 2015 so still young and enthusiastic. Lamb (for two) was spectacular and our waiter (from Houston) very knowledgeable and attentive. Wine list good. We were upstairs which is a little quieter than the main floor.”
